CONTROLLED MECHANICAL VENTILATION SYSTEMS

Among the novelties of the Assotherm offer there are controlled mechanical ventilation systems under the"Agi_Comfort" brand. VMC, as commonly called, is fully part of modern technologies in terms of climate comfort. According to authoritative estimates, more than a third of new or renovated buildings may contain polluted air for various causes, the main ones being lack of adequate ventilation of the building, humidity percentages above the standard values of well- being, agents contaminants present in the system, exhaust and fumes and other pollutants harmful to health.

Controlled mechanical ventilation is a valid tool to keep indoor air conditions under control and to obtain savings on heat dispersion in well-insulated buildings with low energy consumption.

VMC Installations

The most common type of VMC system is characterized by having a double ventilation circuit: one duct controls and regulates the air introduced into the building, while the other duct is intended for the extraction of the same air. The air flows present in the two ducts are managed by electric fans.

The type of system described offers several advantages: the main one is the ability to treat, filter, heat or cool the external air, ensuring its constant exchange and recovery of the heat of the exhausted air. The air ventilation ducts are made to flow into a heat exchanger where the exhausted air transfers part of its heat to the clean incoming air. In addition, the heat exchanger is equipped with filters that allow you to control the quality of the air, limiting the entry of dust and polluting particles. The heat exchanger is therefore a necessary element for a VMC system, especially in buildings with low energy consumption, as it allows to further reduce consumption and to eliminate molds or other pathogens present in the air.
